On Monday, January 8, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a beach cleanup.
The volunteers began with sweeping around the park areas, finding discarded papers and some food waste. After passing over the area and checking some of the benches, they proceeded down to the shoreline. There they found styrofoam waste littered in the sand and some plastic tucked between some rocks. Passing over the parking lots, they found some more water in the bushes. Throughout the day, they managed to collect a few bottles that they’ll recycle at a later date.
