On Nov.18th, 2023, West Essex branch worked with My Circle of Friends to organize a Taekwondo workshop for special needs children at Apex Tigers Martial Arts Taekwondo in Florham Park, NJ.
Training in Taekwondo can increase confidence and help to develop social skills in kids on the Autistic Spectrum. The workshop was led by the Founder and Head Instructor/Coach of Apex Tigers Taekwondo, Grand Master Giduk Gun (USA National Team Poomsae Coach, International Referee). Our members served as assistants and unified partners. After a warm up, the group demonstrated and practiced basic TKD techniques including form, breaking and self-defense skills.
