On Saturday, October 21, the East Pittsburgh Aylus Branch volunteered at the Westmoreland Food Bank. As we came in, our group was divided, each person assigned to a section of the conveyor belt with different tasks. The tasks involved placing various food items into boxes. These items included non-perishable goods such as canned vegetables, pasta, bread items, and other essential food products. Another responsibility we had was making sure that each box received a balanced assortment of food. Throughout the volunteer activity, we were able to pack about 300 boxes alongside the aid of other volunteers that day.
