On Saturday, September 30, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the STAT horse sanctuary.
After helping other volunteers familiarize with the goats, they crossed the gate to visit the chickens. Raking up loose feathers, fur, and waste, the volunteers admired the different furs and feathers on the birds. After a brief stint with goats trying to get across the gate, they started working on another one of the goat pens. Raking up the waste, they filled many wheelbarrows and emptied them in a faraway master pile. As a light rain began to fall, the volunteers rounded up the last few piles of waste and disposed of the contents of the wheelbarrow one last time.
