The AYLUS-Oyster Bay team hosted the second environmentally-friendly fundraising sale at the Farmingdale Craft Fair. Bright and early, we erected vibrant red tents along Farmingdale Main Street, meticulously arranged tables and chairs, and put on display a diverse array of merchandise complete with posters and price tags. Our inventory of eco-friendly products encompassed plant-based biodegradable trash bags, eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes, natural sponges, disposable bibs made from bamboo sticks, laundry detergent sheets free from plastic, “earth” T-shirts, and more. Amidst the buzz of the late summer market, select items rapidly flew off the shelves. Several patrons not only procured multiple goods but also commended our role in environmental preservation, effectively contributing to the dissemination of environmental consciousness.
We extend our gratitude to our team of eight volunteers and their parents who alternated between morning and afternoon shifts, passionately advocating for our eco-friendly merchandise while distributing promotional materials to our patrons. The fruitful fundraising sale spanned a total of 8 hours. Our commitment to persistently champion and endorse eco-friendly products remains steadfast, as we strive to engender a lasting impact!
Gratitude to the following 7 young volunteers, totaling 24 volunteer hours collectively.
