On Saturday, August 5th, 2023, we went to Sunken Meadow for 5 hours.
We helped the staff from Audubon grab stuff and set up a stand about the birds. We put up the tent, placed the cards on the table and opened up the chairs. Afterwards we spread out around the boardwalk to gather signatures from people. These signatures helped Audubon raise money and awareness about the endangered species of many birds in the area (such as piping plovers) and how they liked to lay their eggs on beaches. The people that signed also often took stickers and/or cards. After when we started packing up, we helped pack up everything and took it back to the car. For the 5 hours we were here, we got a little over 300 signatures in total.
