On Wednesday, August 2nd, a group of dedicated volunteers from The East Pittsburgh Aylus Branch came together to support our local community by participating in a packing event at Westmoreland Food Bank. The event focused on packaging essential food items, including peppers, water, and chicken, to provide assistance to those in need. A designated area was set up for packing fresh peppers. The peppers were carefully sorted, inspected for quality, and then packed into individual bags. After Packing Peppers, the volunteers started packing bottled water into boxes. The water bottles were arranged systematically in the boxes, taking into consideration weight distribution and safety. The boxes were sealed and stacked, ready for distribution to individuals and families in need of clean drinking water. The third activity involved packing frozen chicken into boxes and counting the chicken. There was a total of 73 chickens.
