Reported by Jessica Lu
On July 26th, Murrieta AYLUS members went to their local park to clean up.
Members began by going to the playground and picking up trash there. They found candy wrappers, fidgets, scraps of paper, and pencils/crayons. Then, members looked in the bushes surrounding the playground and below the benches and found lots of trash there. As they walked onto the lawn, members kept a lookout for any trash hidden in the grass. Members found some bottles that they saved for the next time they went recycling. After, members went to the parking lot where they found lots of cigarettes, glass bottles, and broken glass, which members were careful when picking up. When the parking lot was cleaned, members made their way to the outside of the park, on the sidewalk. After they finished, members disposed of the trash and said their goodbyes.
