East Pittsbugh Aylus Branch Helps Local Food Bank Pack Bread Items

On Wednesday July 5th, a dedicated group of volunteers gathered at the Westmoreland Food Bank to lend a helping hand in packaging bread. The aim of this volunteer event was to support the food bank’s efforts in distributing food to individuals and families in need within the local community. Our objective was to assist the food bank in packaging bread efficiently and effectively. Bread Sorting: The volunteers worked diligently to sort through various types of bread, ensuring that they were fresh, free from damage, and suitable for distribution. Box Preparation: The team prepared sturdy boxes by folding and assembling them, ensuring they were clean and in optimal condition to hold the packaged bread. Bread Packaging: Volunteers carefully and efficiently packed the sorted bread into the prepared boxes. They worked collaboratively, forming an assembly line to streamline the process. The volunteer event at the Westmoreland Food Bank was a success, thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants. The collective effort of the volunteers in sorting, packaging, and labeling bread contributed significantly to the food bank’s ability to efficiently distribute food to those in need.
