On Sunday July 2, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a park cleanup at the Meadows Park. Finding the park full of litter, they yet again split into two groups to cover the whole area. They found a plethora of scattered garbage, such as candy wrappers, tissues, and even discarded food with ants. When the two groups met after scouring the perimeter, they found their greatest foe: an excess of discarded confetti. Likely leftover from a party of some sort, the small paper pieces filled multiple bags, and they spent a large majority of their time scouring the area for multi-colors confetti. Afterwards, they discarded the bags.
