AYLUS Warren Branch joined the Basking Ridge Branch on June 4th, 2023 at the 5k fundraising event for Good Grief in Morristown, New Jersey. Good Grief is an organization started in 2004 that focuses on helping children and adolescents with loss in their families and peers, and the 5k fundraising event was a huge success, with around 1200 participants showing up to the event.
Volunteers showed up early in the morning to help set up the tents and stations for the event taking place later in the day. They were then assigned different positions to help out throughout the day. Some volunteers participated at the water station, where volunteers provided runners and walkers with water at the halfway point of the 5k. Others were stationed towards the end, handing out pins to the participants. All of the volunteers stayed for the entire event. Thanks to everyone who helped at the event, the Good Grief 5k raised $150,000, going towards the organization. The AYLUS Warren Branch would like to thank the Basking Ridge Branch for inviting us to participate in this fun and meaningful event.
