On Thursday, May 25th, AYLUS Pearland organized a delightful celebration to mark the end of the school year for the local community. The event aimed to kickstart the summer season and brought together volunteers who prepared a variety of food and activities for everyone to enjoy. The festivities included engaging attractions such as tug of war, face painting, popcorn, balloon making, and delicious food prepared by AYLUS Pearland volunteers.
The celebration was open to the local community, as well as the friends and families of AYLUS Pearland members. It served as an excellent opportunity to showcase the mission and versatility of AYLUS Pearland’s events, while also fostering new connections with current partners. The event drew approximately 150 participants, which included AYLUS Pearland’s local partners, new members, and current members.
During the celebration, officers proudly presented posters adorned with pictures showcasing the diverse opportunities offered by AYLUS Pearland. They also provided detailed information and shared testimonies with those who expressed interest. To facilitate new member registrations, volunteers were stationed at the front desk, welcoming and assisting attendees.
After hours of enjoyment, the presidents took the stage to introduce the new officers for the upcoming year, 2023-2024. Additionally, they recognized the graduating members and former leaders for their remarkable achievements in serving the Pearland community. The event proved to be a resounding success, with a mix of familiar and new faces, inspiring and encouraging youth to actively engage in both local and broader acts of service.
