On May 7ths, from 8:00-10:30, the Roslyn Branch helped out an organization called Rewild with their native plant sale.
We organized the garden by sorting through the orders and placing the plants in groups by name. When people arrived to pick up their orders, we helped check them in and located their plants for them in the garden. We confirmed their order by verifying the species and number with a sheet and carried it to their trunks for them.
We also helped water the entire garden with a hose. The hose was very hard to control because it required a lot of control for the water to not be very strong. If the force of the water was too strong, it would upturn the soil and damage the fragile plants. We learned about how to identify the different breeds of plants, how to care for a garden, different types of fungi, and learned to weed gardens.
