From April 24th to April 28rd, West Essex AYLUS organized a food drive for the Chow food pantry which is managed by Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors (LNHN) in Livingston NJ.
LNHN helps families within our community who are struggling with unexpected hardship. We provide short-term, emergency financial assistance and a variety of in-kind support through monetary donations, non-perishables, fresh produce, meals and gift cards to those in need.
LNHN also manages the CHOW food pantry, providing families with the essentials they need to help ease their burden. Anything unexpired is accepted and welcomed, from children’s snacks, to detergent. We also share excessive food donations with other food pantries and shelters based in Newark including St. John’s, St. Ann’s, and St. Michael’s.
LNHN, which is volunteer run, relies solely on the generosity of our community, enabling us to create a safety net for residents in need and give hope to our neighbors who are struggling.
Founded in 2016, Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors (LNHN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and an affiliate of Livingston’s Healthy Community, Healthy Youth (HCHY).
