On April 21, Angela Hu and Erika Yu from Edison Branch got a holiday off from school and decided to help out at Feeding Hands Pantry in the Bridgewater site. The work of this day was to prepare for the next day’s food distribution. The members helped prepare various vegetables, fruits, nuts, sauces, cooking oil, etc. and boxed and labeled them. This was quite a lot of work and the members got to experience the hard work of the staff at this site. The staff also told the members that the day before was Volunteer Recognition Day. It is the annual celebration of those who selflessly benefit the lives of others. The members felt proud to have done something meaningful on this day as well. Each member volunteered to work for 4 hours in this event.
