On April 6th, 2023, Murrieta members lent a hand to the Torrey Pines Senior Center. After going through the check-in procedures, the members made their way to the proper room and helped lead light exercises, starting with small arm motions before making their way to the weights. Afterwards, the members helped set up courtyard for arts and crafts. Members patiently helped the seniors decorate colorful eggs in preparation for the coming Easter holiday. In around an hour everyone had just about finished with their egg, wipes were handed out to the seniors to clean their hands and members then wiped the tables clean of glue and glitter before serving the snacks and drinks. They sang songs together and ended their visit with the reading of “The Daily Chronicle” in turns. It was happy to see the shiny smile brought on seniors’s faces, big applauses were given to our members for their invaluable service before they waved for good-bye.
