On November 19, members of the Chapel Hill-Cary AYLUS branch learned from member Joshua Yoon’s mother Janet and her assistant Emily Gao how to crochet. The workshop lasted around two hours, and participants were taught important patterns and techniques of crocheting. In the future, participants of this workshop will be able to use the skills learned to make beanies or other small pieces of clothing for donation organizations that the Chapel Hill-Cary branch partners with such as Kits to Heart, and UNC Lung Cancer Center. In addition, this was a perfect team-bonding experience for the participants.
