On October 1, 2022 eight ALYLUS Bellaire branch members participated in an annual health fair hosted by Health Education for Asians League of Houston and Light & Salt Association between 8:30am-12:30pm.
The health fair provided free health screening and counseling to the community. Volunteers distributed FIT test, explained test instruction and how to send back the results, guided the clients from booth to the Hepatitis B/C room, and worked together with the Light and Salt organization to help fill out consent forms for the community to get tested for Hepatitis B and C. They also helped translate the consent form for those who do not understand English.
