On September 30th, 2022, the AYLUS Orlando branch cleaned up Jamestown park post-hurricane and picked up lots of weeds, branches, sticks and piled everything up in trash bags within the span of 2 hours. Jamestown Park isa 1-acre park located south of Oviedo in the Jamestown community. Amenities include a playground and a basketball court. The Cross Seminole Trail is also less than 1 mile to the north of the park.
The participants did the following:
- Pick up roughly 20 full bags of debris from the area of the entire park. Most of the debris was piled rather than bagged
- Weed the playground and clean up a lot of rogue debris that was scattered throughout the area
This is the third cleanup of 36. This event occurred on September 30th, 2022.
