On September 18th, 2022, AYLUS Scottsdale participated in the Family Care Cart Program by making no-sew blankets. During the event, members helped design and make no-sew blankets with two layers to help this cause. Afterward, these blankets get distributed by volunteers who take around a cart filled with many supplies.
The main objective of this event is to provide families with essential comfort items that are needed when they are required to spend extended periods away from home. Providing some of these bare essentials allows patients and families to lower their stress levels and make them feel more comfortable in hospital environments.
Consequently, AYLUS Scottsdale accepted the challenge to make 63 blankets, with each blanket taking around three hours to take. This event is 3 of 4 total events to help donate blankets to the community.
The members that participated in this event include:
Mariah Sun (6 hr) -2 blankets, Fengming Cao (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Jingbo Xia (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Jarron Deng (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Leona Wang (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Owen Zhou (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Laura Wang (3hrs)- 1 blanket, David Sun(6 hrs)-2 blankets, Aiden Kai (6 hrs)-2 blankets, Jason Kai (6 hrs)-2 blankets,
