On September 5, the Sugar Land Branch continued working on the garden maintenance project at the Brazos River Park on weed pulling. In some areas, particularly near the taller flowers, fast-growing weeds had sprouted alongside the plants and were using their resources, causing them to become dehydrated. As a result, the volunteers pulled these weeds to give the flowers room to grow.
