AYLUS Birmingham Branch continues to help out at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. On April 30, volunteers helped out at the vegetable gardens. They helped weed out an invasive wild type of onion in the Enabling Gardens and also worked in the Bruno Vegetable Garden by planting some vegetables, transferring some pepper plants from small pots to the garden beds. The members helped water the vegetables with hoses and handheld sprinklers and watering cans. Furthermore, they helped open the sprinkler system to the adopted gardens as well.
