Friday, April 22, 2022 was the annual celebration of Earth Day and saving the environment. On Saturday, April 23, 2022, we gathered by Lake Bde Maka Ska to pick up trash by the lake, including the trails, beach area, and recreation areas. The event officially lasted for two and a half hours, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This pickup was our first-ever event but went very successfully, although the event had to be rescheduled due to heavy rain. It was amazing being able to make an impact and reduce litter in our environment as a team, and we look forward to more branch events.
