The Sugar Land Branch launched a debate club in Spring 2020. This club, founded and led by Andrew Lian, focuses on helping elementary school students develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, persuasion, and communication.
Today was the finals of the class. I prepared a quiz for them to take with five questions and overall the students did very well. After the quiz was over, we played a game in which a student will be chosen as random to answer a question that I will come up with about debate. If a student answers it correctly then he is awarded one point. At the end of the game, we will tally to see which student has the most point to see who wins.
