On 2/27/22, AYLUS Syosset, AYLUS Manhasset and Tai Chi Youth Group members visited Orchard Estate of Woodbury – Assisted Living & Memory Care and organized a talent show showcasing members’ various performances.
Performers showcased talents such as singing, playing instruments (french horn, oboe, cello, and flute), and martial arts. Members Jasmine Chen, Ryan Leung and Leo Cheng served as event MCs, introducing each performance and informing event attendees about AYLUS as an organization and the positive impacts it has made on the local community. Additionally, mid-way through the event, Nassau County Legislator Josh Lafazan joined the event for a special ceremony where he presented AYLUS members with citations showing his appreciation for our continued efforts toward bettering the local community. Concluding the event, event volunteers handed out flowers to the present seniors, sharing joy with everyone.
