Rancho Santa Margarita Participated in Food Drives (Nov 2021-Jan 2022)

Over the past few months, AYLUS Rancho Santa Margarita Members have been hard at work at local food drives, serving the community and packaging foods to be delivered. At numerous locations across Southern California, members worked either in produce warehouses or on the field. In warehouses, members were assigned to certain groups where they, under the leadership of local leaders at Saddleback Church, allotted appropriate portions of fresh produce, dairy products, breads and grains, and packaged meats into bags to be later given out. Meanwhile, in local high schools, shopping mall parking lots, and church sites, members took those previously divided foods and placed them into the cars, aided in recording information, and helped lift and move boxes.

Members learned the skill of cooperation with other members, as well as citizens also serving and shared experiences in the name of unity. In both experiences, a greater gratitude for the resources available was felt, and members had the chance to directly help.
