Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Education Help Program (80th) in December 2021

In December, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students continued their Education Help Program. Although schools are restarting, some middle school students are still looking for tutoring classes to improve their academic skills in classes like math, science, writing or reading. Because of this, GPA is holding tutoring opportunities in core subjects.

GPA member Catherine Feng tutored her students in math on Monday (12/13) from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. This week, we focused on fractions word problems, using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to solve real world problems involving fractions.

GPA member Sarah Liu tutored the subjects of Biology and Physics to struggling high school students during the month of December for one-hour sessions from 5PM to 6PM, on 12/2 and 12/14.

GPA member Annie Miao tutored her students in math (12/19, 3 hrs): In their final tutoring session of the year, Annie and her tutee continued to work on solving equations with trinomials. They practiced all 3 ways of solving them and talked about which method would be best given each scenario.

Many GPA members have arranged in person tutoring for their tutee in 2022.

The program allows GPA members to provide reading, writing, speaking, communication, and more to their students across the country.
