The AYLUS Birmingham Branch has worked extensively with the Birmingham Botanical gardens. On November 20, 2021, AYLUS members worked in the Greenhouse along with UAB Honors College students to help start setting up the annual Birmingham Botanical Garden’s Christmas poinsettia exhibit. Volunteers raked and weeded out the citrus area of the greenhouse. Then, to make room for the Christmas exhibit, plants from the main area were moved to the citrus area. After this, they cleaned and weeded all around the greenhouse.
