On November 24, the Sugar Land Branch began a new volunteering initiative with the City of Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department. Members first cleared grass in a plot of land at Memorial Park for flower planting. Then, they scattered soil mixed with seeds around the area to facilitate plant growth. This project is part of a larger effort of the Parks and Rec Department to increase the natural scenery of the region between Memorial and Brazos River Parks; members will continue to plant flowers in the weeks to come.
The participating members were Aidan Pulmano, Angela Wang, Runyan Zhou, Serena Li, Emma Jiang, and Albon Wu.
