Throughout the past year, the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our Raritan Valley Branch members have reached new and remarkable heights. Despite difficult situations, global pandemics, school, and every possible obstacle, they all have sacrificed their free time to prepare tutoring lessons and fundraisers seriously and responsibly. Their young shoulders have supported the hopes of so many peers.
All of this hard work has paid off, as it is with pride that we write down this important milestone.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of all our young tutors, accumulating their earnings bit by bit, our branch has raised significant funds for charity this year. After careful evaluation, our board and advisors have successively donated these funds to 20 different projects through DonorsChoose.com. By helping teachers with various teaching needs, we have benefitted a number of classrooms and more than 2,000 students in low-income areas like Newark and Camden. We have given supplies ranging from basic supplies to calculators, printers, computers, laptops, lab materials, online study resources and more.
We have received heartfelt and numerous thank you messages, and have seen firsthand the impact we have had on teachers and their children. The love, passion and dedication to their education is apparent, and we are honored to have lent a helping hand. We hope for their future success.
