Over the summer, the AYLUS branch in Birmingham, AL gladly took the opportunity to adopt a garden within the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Previously, branch members planted new fauna, prepared the soil, harvested crops, and cleared weeds. On August 28, AYLUS Birmingham members returned to the gardens to continue removing weeds and cultivating more plants. Though AYLUS Birmingham only maintains one section of the garden, AYLUS Birmingham wants to put this land to the best use: for visitors to admire and to cultivate crops to give to food charities around the Birmingham area.
