On September 4, the Sugar Land Branch continued its butterfly garden maintenance project at the Sugar Land Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. Southeast Texas summer temperatures often extend well into the autumn months, and this was no exception. The plants were starting to become dehydrated due to the prolonged high temperatures and dry climate. As a result, members took extra care to water the garden’s flowers more than usual, filling a bucket with water from the nearby lake and pouring it over the plants’ roots to hydrate them.
The participating members were Tong Wang, Nicole Wu, Isabella Wu, Angela Wang, Amy Liu, Runyan Zhou, Jason Yen, Aidan Pulmano, and Albon Wu.
