In August, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued its donations of new or gently used backpacks and school supplies to Montgomery Township.
Montgomery Township is seeking donors for its Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive. The drive benefits children who are low-income and in need of school supplies and new backpacks.
For the past eleven years, the municipal employees, local businesses, organizations, and residents have donated backpacks and school supplies that have benefited many children. The items are distributed to children from low-income families who attend the public schools and are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.
GPA members who participate in this year’s drive drop off donations at the Montgomery Town Center. You may choose to donate book bags or school supplies or both! Items that can be donated include book bags, notebooks, binders, folders, loose-leaf paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks, and other school supplies.
Participants: Kevin Zhao (8/30, 1 hr), Ryan Tian (8/30, 1 hr), Tiffany Tian (8/30, 1 hr), Catherine Feng (8/2, 2 hrs; 8/22, 2 hrs), and more!
