On May 2, the Sugar Land Branch continued its maintenance project at Memorial Park in conjunction with the City of Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department. The plants have been in full bloom throughout the spring; however, this growth has been accompanied by an increase in weeds and dead branches. To give the garden’s pollinator-attracting flowers room to grow, members diligently pulled weeds and broke dead branches from the soil, clearing space for the garden’s plants to proliferate. Afterward, members disposed of the weeds and branches appropriately.
The participating members were Roy Yue, Justin Chang, Nicole Wu, Isabella Wu, Serena Li, Emma Jiang, and Albon Wu.
