The Sugar Land Branch launched a debate club in Spring 2020. This club, founded and led by Andrew Lian, focuses on helping elementary school students develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, persuasion, and communication.
Today the Debate team decided to take a short break from the tournament and start practicing our debate terms. We played a few games that would heighten their argumentation reflexes and then I refreshed them on some debate terms. Afterwards I gave them homework and class was over.
