Over the course of two weeks (March 28th to April 10, 2021), members of AYLUS-Syosset as well as their students made numerous signs empowering Asian voices.
All movements have to start somewhere; for AYLUS-Syosset, this start was to get students and friends to make signs with short but strong messages encouraging the Asian community to stand up for itself. The creation of the signs were relatively simple, but the impact of them means much more. AYLUS-Syosset plans to use the signs in future events and rallies.
Participants included Alan Huang (2 hours), Leo Cheng (2 hours), Jasmine Chen (2 hours), John Thach (2 hours), Greene Xue (2 hours), Ryan Leung (2 hours), Tiffany He, Elizabeth Huang, Francina Liu, Dora Nguyen, and Haoyu Qiu.
