The Sugar Land Branch launched a debate club in Spring 2020. This club, founded and led by Andrew Lian, focuses on helping elementary school students develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, persuasion, and communication.
On March 31st, the club met and prepared the debate cases. I split up the class into two breakout rooms. The first are the people who haven’t finished their cases, and the second was to flow and do practice rounds. After setting up everything, we started doing the practice rounds. I assigned the people who weren’t debating that they had to flow and send me the flow paper after class was over for homework.
