The Sugar Land Branch launched a debate club in Spring 2020. This club, founded and led by Andrew Lian, focuses on helping elementary school students develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, persuasion, and communication.
Today most of the students were able to finish their other cases. We spent around 45 minutes working on it while I helped them clear things up with it. Afterwards I assigned homework to the students which includes to give me an example of a fun fact they learned about debate on youtube. I also told them part of next week’s plan as well.
