Phoenix AYLUS Volunteers at Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch on March 14th, 2021

In order to celebrate International earth day on March 20 and world water day on March 22, 2021, AYLUS PHOENIX launch earth conversation month in March to encourage the members to protect our earth and value water, clean up the parks is one of earth conversation month activities.

Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is was created by the Town of Gilbert in 1999 to combine water resources, wildlife habitat, educational programs, and recreational opportunities. The Riparian Preserve consists of 110 acres, with 70 acres of 7 water recharge basins. The Riparian Preserve also includes over 4.5 miles of trails that lead to various vegetative zones, gardens, a paleontology dig site, and an observatory. The Preserve houses approximately 298 species of birds, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals.

On March 13th, 2021 from 9-11AM, PHOENIX AYLUS volunteers cleaned up Riparian Preserva at water Ranch. They wore face masks & gloves and keep social distance to ensure safety. They mainly cleaned up the trash on the ground, picked up papers and plastic pieces, and remove the dog poop on the road. It was very nice weather in Arizona now for outdoor volunteer activities, the members really had fun and enjoy this volunteer activities.
