Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (57th) in February 2021

In February 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math.

GPA members Karen Yang (2/28, 2 hrs), Kevin Song (2/28, 2 hrs), Kathy Yang (2/28, 2 hrs): This week we continued our Algebra content! First, we gave the kids a warm review of simplifying fractional equations. Next, we started our lesson with some fractions in equations and taught them how to factor out these fractional equations. Then we solved equations in terms of other variables and introduced some “more difficult” variable equations. Next, we played a Kahoot game. Finally, we introduced homework and we’ll be having class next Sunday!

GPA member Annie Miao (2/28, 2 hrs): This week, I continued math tutoring and continued talking about Standard Form with my 5th-grade tutee. I also started a brief introduction to Point-Slope Form.

GPA member Annabelle Huang (2/28, 2 hrs): This week, I continued tutoring a middle school student math for PSAT.
