Michelle Lee, one of AYLUS member as well as a junior at Hamilton High proposes a Mandarin peer tutoring opportunity in collaboration with BASIS Ahwatukee’s National Chinese Honor Society. They are looking for intermediate to high-level Mandarin tutors to teach students of all levels, ranging from beginners to AP students. they recruit AYLUS Phoenix members who are interested in signing up. Tutoring sessions will be virtual for the foreseeable future, most likely in the form of Zoom meetings lasting about an hour.
Catherine Di (a junior at BASIS Chandler) and I (Michelle Lee) would like to volunteer as this project’s team leaders to coordinate tutoring sessions and communication between our AYLUS members and BASIS’s Ahwatukee’s students.
They ‘ve paired two members – Olivia Zhao (Tutor) and Eva Molnar (Tutee), and they have 1 hour Chinese tutoring on 12/19/2020 for 1 hours and On Jan 10, 2021 for 1 hour.
Oliva Zhao: total 2 volunteer hours.
