Within the last month of 2020, the AYLUS branch of San Fernando Valley teamed up with GoFundMe to organize a fundraiser to help students who can’t get the education they deserve. To wrap up this challenging year, this effort turned out to be a success! By reaching out, we were able to raise 80 dollars within this short period of time. Above is our poster that we have published and shared with others.
If you are interested in donating yourself, you can donate to our fundraiser here.
The participants – Logan Weinstein, Benjamin Kozikaro-Sanchez, Jason Xie, and Marc Hua – reached out to the public to gain traction for the fundraiser. We contacted schools, discussed with friends, shared with neighbors, and collaborated with family.
So far, with the teamwork of the branch members and with the support of the public, we have donated $80 to School on Wheels. We can’t wait to see how far the fundraiser can go. This is our first fundraising effort, and we plan to have many others in the future.
Help us spread the word!!! #SpreadSchoolOnWheels
