The novel coronavirus has devastated many fiscally and physically, exacerbating the already difficult transition into winter for underserved and underprivileged families. Families who don’t have access to basic warmth and food cannot be expected to thrive in an environment plagued by disease. Therefore, the AYLUS Irvine branch is fiercely combatting hardships brought on by COVID-19 through a food drive to help our communities endure and recover.
Throughout the month of November, branch members have been hard at work compiling viable food for our ultimate drive, which took place on the afternoon of November 29, 2020. We hope our massive contributions will benefit the welfare and morale of the less fortunate. We have delivered all food proceeds to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
We hope to continue sending streaks of kindness into our community!
