Marlboro Branch Launches Its Ongoing Tutoring Program (8/18 – Present)

Recently, the Marlboro Branch has launched its ongoing tutoring program for elementary and middle school students. The tutors are highly qualified and classes are offered in a variety of fields, ranging from all levels of math to computer programming to digital art. The branch also offers MCVSD counseling to help kids planning to apply to the prestigious magnet schools in Monmouth County. Classes are taught via Zoom or Google Meet in either private or group lessons. Instructors aim to make the students’ experiences as enriching and fun as possible.

The classes have already had a profound impact on the community. Young children are able to learn a variety of life skills that can help them advance their academic careers. With the pandemic causing educational enrichment to be limited, it’s imperative that children are able to get a head start or reinforce topics heading into the school year.

The branch plans to continue these lessons into the 2020-2021 school year as a way of providing children with continued academic help. Parents have also voiced their support, saying the program is “impressive,” “engaging,” and “very helpful”.
