On Friday, August 28th, 2020, from 10am to 1pm, volunteers from the New York Branch of AYLUS removed an abundance of weeds and bushes along the rear entrance of the Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers. Volunteers removed invasive vines from the fence with loppers and gloves, cutting the weeds at the root and pulling them off the fence. Furthermore, we removed tall weeds as well. This event helped maintain the environment, as the tall weeds blocked out the sun and limited the biodiversity in these parks, as well as serving a decorative function, as the weeds detracted from the park’s beauty.
The volunteers that participated were Jason Xia, Jerry Xia, Kevin Xia, Sarah Luo, Sophie Luo, Emma Wang, Eva Bao, and Marcus Lee.
Good work, AYLUS NYC. A few suggestions:
1. Add event dates to titles of your recent posts.
2. Get AYLUS Uniform the T-Shirts to all members and advisors.
3. Get AYLUS Branch Banner to show your team spirit on site.
Thank you,
