On Monday, August 3rd, MAYLUS volunteers held a seminar titled “Evolution: A Flawed Theory”. Biology teachers Charlene Peng and Rachael Yuan invited Kevin Huang to speak about evolution as a theory and delve into the debate surrounding it. Interspersed between key facts and deeper dives into evolution were fun quizzes and questions, which many kids answered with ease. Towards the end of the seminar, Kevin fielded questions from his audience, both about the subject matter of his seminar and biology in general. Students and teachers alike were pleased with the event, which has garnered very positive feedback and excitement for future programs.
