On August 1st, the Sugar Land Branch continued volunteering at the Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. Due to the frequent rain recently, members mainly focused on pulling weeds from around the plants, but also sporadically watered some plants and surrounding trees. Their efforts have caused the garden to attract the attention of the City of Sugar Land and many park visitors. Most importantly, butterflies have started to inhabit the garden. Furthermore, their consistent efforts have influenced more volunteers to join the park maintenance!
The participating members were: Albon Wu, Hunter Han, Haydn Han, Nicole Wu, Isabella Wu. Members worked diligently for 2 hours, pulled a huge pile of weeds, and kept all the plants and surrounding trees dehydrated.
