On June 24, 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Kevin Song and Karen Yang, teamed up and taught kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math. The 1.5-hour class offered by GPA members Karen Yang and Kevin Song teach Pre-Algebra class to 6 kids: Kathy, Victor, Claire, Meisu, Claire, and Mia.
This week was our test on Chapter five, some one step equations, inequalities and word problems! We began by giving our students a Quizzizz (similar to Kahoot, an online quiz game) to warm up. Then, we instructed the students on how to solve the problems from the Quizzizz and then the students retake this Quizzizz as their final chapter five test! If they succeeded in reaching an 80% or so accuracy, they got less homework… We wrapped up the lesson with some more content on Ecology and assigned homework to be due on Sunday.
