On the first Tuesday of June, the Edison Branch of AYLUS decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather; Victoria He, Prince Hu, Xin Chen, Abigail Bao, Angela Bao, Li Zhang and An Mei Deng went to pick up trash at the local Roosevelt park. (They had all been quarantined for a couple weeks prior to going outside, so catching or spreading the virus would not be an issue. They also kept 6 feet apart from any other park goers in the area.) The volunteers enjoyed the pleasant breeze while working together to return the park to its former pristine beauty. Afterwards, they left feeling fulfilled and satisfied that they had been able to help out, at least a little, the local community. All in all, it was a day well spent.
