AYLUS allies with Intel Chinese Employee Network to participate in another round of fundraising to fight Covid-19. Once again, we partnered with the ACCEF (American Chinese Culture Education Foundation). Now, the goal is to raise $50,000 to purchase 5 portable ECG (electrocardiogram) monitors, and 5 portable hematology analyzers.
Intel has decided to donate to various NGOs who already have built up networks to purchase and deliver medical devices for hospitals in Hubei, China. AYLUS was a candidate for these donations, and we have already successfully donated and delivered 5 Philips Ventilators to Hubei SuiZhou Central Hospital on February 8th, 2020. This success, along with the Intel Chinese Employee Network supporting the donation release, convinced Intel to donate $25,000 to help fight Covid-19.
Because this is the first time that Intel has decided to donate to a wide variety of NGOs instead of just to the Chinese Red Cross, they needed help with contacting the hospitals and establishing systems to ensure the hospitals received supplies. AYLUS decided to help Intel here, providing and arranging communications and establishing a system to where photos are taken of the medical devices at the hospital, so Intel knows its money was properly spent.
The $25,000 donation committed by Intel have already gone towards purchasing medical devices with SuiZhou Central Hospital receiving a portable hematology analyzer on Feb 22. We hope with our donations the epidemic will be contained much more effectively.
